The exhaust gas stream of a Capstone C65 micro gas turbine is used as drying energy. 1,350 tons of wet sewage sludge per year are dried from 25% dry matter to 90% and pelletized dust-free. The disposal costs, previously over €200,000 annually, are reduced to €30,000 per year through the new drying process.
